Book Blogger Hop 03-11-11

If I gave you £50 (or $80) and sent you into a bookshop right now, what would be in your basket when you finally staggered to the till?

Ooh!  Good question, well I'd probably get the following books:
  • The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell (paperback to save some $)
  • If You Have to Cry, Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Told You by Kelly Cutrone
  • Looking For Alaska by John Green
  • The Summer I turned Pretty by Jenny Hann
  • Grimm's Complete Fairy Tales by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm
  • The Composer Is Dead (can Edition) by Lemony Snicket
  • Go Ask Alice/Jay's Journal by Anonymous
*Oh and some Stephen King books!

  1. I'd like to read The Summer I Turned Pretty too. I've read The Carrie Diaries but wasn't impressed.

  2. Hi Asma, I'm your newest follower! Really cute blog. Looking for Alaska is an amazing read. I have such a huge crush on John Green, it's ridiculous :) Here's my post! I'd love it if you could check it out, and new followers are always appreciated.

  4. Wow! Great picks - I read Go Ask ALice years ago and just loved it - kind of dark but good nonetheless...I'm not familiar with Jay's Journal - is it another diary type book sold as a package deal with Go Ask Alice these days?? I will def have to check it out! I listened to the Carrie Diaries when it came out (it was available on my library's website free) - anything reminsicent of SATC of Cnadace Bushnell will ALWAYS be close to my heart...plus don't you just love the covers of her newest Carrie books? Tres cute!

  5. Thanks for hopping by my blog. I remember reading Grimm's Fairy Tales when I was younger, but I don't know if the two-book collection we have is a 'complete' one or simply what might work best for kids. Yeah right: Cinderella's sisters having their eyes pecked out and Snow White being dropped on her head; great kids stories ;D

Hope you had a great weekend!
