Hush Hush by Becca FitzPatrick

Nora Grey isn't the average high school student.  Although she has legs as long as a bar stool and curls with enough volume to create a moon bounce boys at her school aren't really part of the plan.  Nora spends most of her time studying and concentrating on school.  She's just a girl not looking for any trouble, but trouble finds her in the form of a mysterious youg guy, named Patch.  Patch is a combination of Edward Cullen, Dimitri Belikov, Jace Wayland and Sam (...Shiver).  It's hard to talk about all these fictional heartthrobs without thinking of Patch, real

So.................................................(Sorry, I was thinking about Patch.)
Becca FitzPatrick created a dark novel with characters that actally serve a purpose.  Random characters weren't just thrown at the reader but I do have to admit that Vee, Nora's best friend really got on my nerves.  But she still served a purpose.  The 400+ pages were dipped in almost every emotion which is a good thing since not many author can actually do that.  The book was very fast paced and the ending was pretty shocking for me since I did not see that one coming.  If I had to criticize something it would be the lack of Patch's history.  I would have wanted to know more about Fallen Angels and such but I think that they were introduced a bit too late in the sory.  Anyways, the book was great!  I do feel that this book will be getting a lot of buzz!  Especially because of the amazingly beautiful cover!  Crescendo, the sequel will be released fall 2010

So does Hush Hush deserve the moody seal of approval?  Of course, because Hsh Hush shouldn't be kept a secret.
