Crescendo by Becca F

Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described as anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy, Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.
The further Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim bloodline has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

THANK YOUUUU!! ABBAAAHAHALALALALH.  So happy to have recieved the ARC.  Seriously.  It would have been agonizing to just sit there until October 19th like you guys are guna have to (I kid, I kid--> Not true.)  I had a serious fan girl moment when it arrived, I'm talking Twihard moment!  It was knocked up to the top of my evergrowing (thankfully) TBR pile.

With that said...

I didn't really enjoy the begining of the book because it just passed by so fast!  And well, by the end of the begining of the book Patch and Norah's relationship seemed like it was just a fling.  But there is so much going on in the book that that can be overlooked.  The book was just pure gold as a matter of fact.

And Becca F's writing skills are better than ever.  I loved the plot becuase, just like the first book it was somewhat of a mystery had quite an impressive twist near the end.  Oh, and when I turned that last page, I was grining like a fool!  It's one of those books that you can trust, and you just know its gunna be good!  The Hush Hush books never seem to disappoint!  And you know that anxiety attack you have about sequels and you wonder "Is Crescendo guna be as good as Hush Hush?".  The answer was a blunt "DURR!"

If Crescendo wasn't as good as Hush Hush, it was better!  Action, mystery, Patch, romance, drama, Patch.  All of the things you need for a successful book/sequel were present in Crescendo.

The chracter developpement was stronger than ever, Vee - who was a character that I hated in Hush Hush- was funny, strong and just plain awesome.  I grew to love her.  And well Norah presented herself as a braver, more independant person and Patch...Patch was just better.  Patch 2.0 heheh

The covers of these books are amazing and so are the storylines!  Becca F may not have been contracted for a third book but...well...ARE YOU KIDDING ME???  This woman is brilliant!

Anyways, Moody Stamp of approval was awarded about a century ago!

  2. Hi! Here on the Hop! I LOVED Hush, Hush, so I'm very excited for Crescendo as well! Way cool that you got to read it! I love the "Moody" stamp of approval. Moody was my mother's maiden name. Boring was my husband's mother's maiden name, so we always joke that we are just a bunch of boring, moody people! I gave you a follow! Good Luck with your site!
