Blogger Hop 04.22.11

If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?

Normally I don't.  I used to.  I would read an amazing book and I would check out the author's other books and they would turn out to be uber disappointing.  It would sort of leave this negative imprint in my mind about the author.  But there are certain exceptions.  There are some authors that always leave me happy with their books, most of the time they turn out to be the authors of contemp fiction novels, like Jennifer Echols or Elizabeth Chandler.  I guess it isn't really about who wrote the book, but more about what they wrote.

In other news, this Monday I celebrated the Blogiversary!  In honor of it, I'm hosting a (if I do say so myself) super duper giveaway!

The books up for grabs are Nightshade by Andrea Cremer, City Of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare, Across The Universe by Beth Revis, Wither by Lauren Destefano, XVI by Julia Karr, Wild Child by Mike Wells and The Eternal Ones by Kirtsen Miller! I've also got some neat little things to throw in the packages (COFA buttons and some signed bookmarks! from Kimberly Derting as well as Angela Morrison)

So go ahead and enter the contest here.

  3. That is a super duper giveaway! Congrats on your Blogoversary.
I have found that I have been disappointed in some authors too. Sometimes the books get repetitive so I need to take a break from a particular author but if I love a book, I will try at least one more bk by them.

  4. Thanks for hopping by my blog! I agree with you about Jennifer Echols - it was her book Going Too Far that started it for me and now I can't wait for Love Story. She seems to be a popular choice - I've noticed people mentioning her on a lot of blogs!
