Feature Follow: The gift of giving (good book recommendations)

Pick a book in your favorite genre that you’d recommend to a reluctant reader.

Wait, what's my favourite genre? I don't even know. What I do know is that one book I always recommend no matter the preference, is always always always The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. That book changed my life in so many ways as a 16 year old, it is without a doubt, my favourite book. I wouldn't say that I would recommend it to anyone, I think that the person who reads this novel needs to be at the "right" stage in their life to really appreciate it. I probably wouldn't have responded to this novel as much as strongly as I did if I had read it at a different period in my life.

AND THE MOVIE: A+

This being the last FF before Christmas, happy holidays everyone! I hope you all spend some nice quality time with your loved ones, or just some time to appreciate yourselves!

If any of you would like a link to my wish list, let me know *wink*wink*

  1. I think I am one of the few remaining people who have not seen or read Perks of Being a Wallflower. I keep meaning to but then other books jump out and say "read me" so I do. I am now following via bloglovin.

  3. My friend is constantly begging me to read The Perks of Being a Wallflower but I think you're right, for some books you just have to be in the right state of mind to read, otherwise the impact won't be as strong. I'm planning on reading it but only when the time is right. On a completely unrelated note, I love your blogs header!

  17. I've read and watched the movie of the Perks of Being a Wallflower. Sadly, both didn't work for me. In my own opinion,
Chboksy's portrayal of the male lead as a sexually molested child was kind of unconvincing.

  19. Love Perks! I haven't seen the movie yet - I'll admit, I've been kind of afraid to. My husband and I have worn out our paperback copy of the book. There are so many quotes in the book that I'm jealous I didn't think of, lol. Thanks so much for stopping by my FF! New follower by GFC, bloglovin, Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram. :D
